One burner stoves are usually used for hiking and
backpacking. Your Camping Shop provides stoves (and

easily for use in whatever conditions you may encounter
on your camping adventure.

stoves and stoves that are burner and griddle
combinations and separate racks for cooking over open
fires. The larger two burner ,(or more), stove is great
for use in larger settings. This may be while RVing, at
a camp ground or in a larger camping situation where
more than one person needs nourishment. These stoves are
usually heavier and are not as easily carried as the
smaller one burner and hiking stoves. As a Boy Scout, we
had a two burner stove in camp, but carried a one burner
sterno stove in my backpack.

type of outdoor adventure you are about to undertake. By
planning ahead, you will be able to determine what type
of stove and fuel you will need to meet your specific
requirements.
There are many variations of camping stoves. A few
are the single burner solid fuel type, the two or more
burner liquid, propane, canister fuel, etc type, the
Hiker lighter weight single burner white gas, kerosene,
diesel or jet fuel type, or the expedition white gas or
Isobutane fuel type stove. Each type of camping stove
has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Each
fuel type has advantages and disadvantages. Your Camping
Shop asks that each stove customer do some homework on
which stove and fuel type will work best for you and
your camping situation. Your Camping Shop also
recommends that all solid fuel stoves be used OUTSIDE of
your tent or R.V….Do not use them in an enclosed area.

a lay on griddle. Usually the two or more burner stoves
are fueled by liquid or gas fuels. This can give a more
even burn and allow for quicker cooking. Your Camping

all fuel stoves and “Burton Bantam white gas” stoves.
The Optimus Brand offers stoves such as the “Optimus
Hiker plus single unit“ , the “Optimus SVEA camp stove“,
and the “Optimus Nova Plus Stove“. Your Camping Shop
also offers other Brand names such as “Stansport”,
“Coghlan” and “Slumberjack”. All are top notch, top
quality, known Brand Name manufacturers of great camping
equipment.

accessories and repair parts. If your stove has a
malfunction, check YCS for the parts you may need and
the Accessories you are looking to add. One of the most
important and usually least expensive accessory for
camping stoves is the “windshield” or “windscreen”. This
simple device is recommended by Your Camping Shop if
your stove doesn’t provide one. The use of this simple
wind blocker can decrease your boiling/cooking time up
to 50 percent. (That’s a good thing). When your hungry
and tired and in the middle of no-where, saving 50
percent cooking time means a great deal to that
grumbling stomach.
